Spaghetti Carbonara
Yes, I know. The photos are still crap. I guess my camera also stinks at making nice pictures. They're all blurry.
Spaghetti Carbonara for 4-6 persons.
500 grams spaghetti
salt, pepper
15 grams butter
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 clove of garlic
200 grams pancetta or raw ham, in thin strips
5 tablespoons white wine
4 eggs
2 tablespoons whipped cream
2 tablespoons parmesan cheese
2 tablespoons pecorino
1 à 2 tablespoons parsley
1. Cook the pasta as told on the packaging. Bake the garlic in the butter and oil until it's a light shade of brown. Spade the garlic out of the pan and bake the pancetta in about five minutes. Put in the wine and wait until all the fluid is evaporated.
2. Whisk the eggs with the whipped cream and stir the cheeses through it. Put the pasta with the pancetta and stir them together.
3. Put the fire off and stir the egg blend through it. When you don't shut the fire down, the egg will get baked. Put in the parsley, salt and pepper and stir it all together.

Chocolate chip cupcake
(Enough to make 16 cupcakes)
Ingredients:
- 230 grams of flour
- 1 teaspoon of baking powder
- 125 grams of butter
- 250 grams of sugar
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla aroma
- 3 medium size eggs
- 100 milliliter milk
- A small trace of salt
- 80 grams of dark chocolate chips
- 150 grams of white chocolate chips
Pre-heat the oven to a 175 degrees Celsius, and place the paper lines in a cupcake pan. Mix the butter until it's soft. Then put in the sugar and the eggs and mix this for about 3 minutes.
Sift the flour, baking powder and the salt in a bowl and add this with the milk and the vanilla aroma to the other bowl. Then mix this all until it's a smooth pastry. If you think the mixture is too massive, you can add a little more milk. Add the chocolate and mix it carefully, so the chocolate is divided evenly.
Put the mixture in the paper liners (about half full) and bake the cupcakes in 15 to 20 minutes. You can check if you cakes are ready by putting a fork in the middle of a cupcake. If the fork comes out clean, your cakes are ready.
I'm planning to make...
Well, Hi!
I always find it very hard to think of a few nice words to welcome you guys to my blog. I guess I'll just tell you something about myself?
So, I'm Marjon. A seventeen-year-old girl from the Netherlands. Friends often call me Mary (you can call me Mary too. I guess Marjon is quite difficult to pronounce in English) and as you may have guessed, I’m not very tall. So that’s where the name of this blog came from. The last word in the title is obviously the most important word. Kitchen. Because that is where ‘the magic happens’ (God, I hate that sentence). I love to bake and cook. I absolutely adore creating nice, good-looking food. So that’s where this blog’s all about, food. Until now, I mostly baked stuff, but I’d like to do some real cooking too. I think my mum would really appreciate it if I’d cook more often and hey, the person who cooks doesn’t have to do the dishes. ;) No, seriously, I love food, not only making it, but also eating it. It’s a great gift for me to have my dad’s metabolism, because otherwise, I’d be as fat as a whale by now. Besides cooking, I also love to sing, act, write and play the piano. Oh, and my friends, family, cat and lovely boyfriend of course. Well, I guess that’s about it. Enjoy reading, baking and cooking!
P.S. The pictures in the header aren't made by me. I'm going to take my own pictures, but as I don't have any of them yet, I'll just use these. They're quite pretty aren't they?
